Revitalisation of the Hovězí Primary School
The elementary school in the village of Hovězí was built between 1955 and 1957 and the aim of the current total reconstruction is to ensure economical, hygienic and modern school operation according to the requirements of standards and law.
Project documentation for the reconstruction of the primary school buildings was prepared, including the design of barrier-free access to the building and new equipment for classrooms and changing rooms.
The building modifications are aimed at the overall reconstruction of the school and at reducing the consumption of heat for heating. The technical solution concerns the main building, the kitchen block, the gym block and two connecting corridors from the main building. It is proposed to modify the building envelope by adding an additional thermal insulation layer to the walls, including part of the existing plinths, modifying the ceilings above the top floor and the lower faces of the ceilings above the first underground floor in the main building, in the kitchen block and the lower face of the gym floor structure, replacing the roof coverings and replacing all window and door openings in the envelope with openings meeting the standard thermal insulation requirements.
The documentation addressed the reconstruction of the catering part of the school, including the facilities, to meet current regulations and requirements. The kitchen has a capacity of 500 meals.
